- Michael ‘Boic’ Coleman 1890 All Ireland champions. Michael also won an ‘All Ireland medal’ in 1894 with Nils/Cork Selection. This final was shrouded in controversy when Dublin were awarded the title even though Cork were leading when the replay was abandoned. Cork were so incensed with the decision that they withdrew from the Association and presented Nils with special ‘All Ireland’ medals bearing the inscription ‘Nils All Ireland Champions 1894’. (Michael Coleman passed away 28th January 1961)

- Ted O’ Sullivan first Midleton player to win Minor, Junior and Senior All Ireland hurling medals.
- Cork Junior All Ireland hurling champions 1950 contained Paddy Hartnett, Ger Power and Dan Fenton whose sons later went on to win County, Munster and All Ireland medals with Midleton and All Ireland senior medals with Cork.
- Paddy and Ger Fitzgerald became the first, and so far only, Midleton father/son combination to win All Ireland senior hurling medals with Cork. Paddy in 1966 with Ger being on the winning teams in 1986 and 1990. Ger also Captained Cork in the 1992 All Ireland final.
- In the All Ireland winning double year of 1990 Midleton had four players involved, Kevin Hennessy, Ger Fitzgerald and David Quirke on the hurling panel and Colm O’Neill with the footballers.
- Midleton and Kickhams from Dublin are the only two clubs in the history of the GAA to provide All Ireland winning senior Captains in Hurling and Football. Jim Power Captained the Midleton/Cork team that won the All Ireland Football title in 1890 and John Fenton Captained the Cork senior hurling team in the Centenary All Ireland hurling final in 1984.
- Peter Smith became the first Midleton player to play on and manage a Midleton senior team to County senior championship victories (1991 and 2013).
- Midleton won the All Ireland 7’s title in Kilmacud in the first 3 times the club entered the competition in 1981/82/85. Three players Seán O’Brien, John Hartnett and Tadhg Mc Carthy played on all 3 teams.
- Brothers Seán and Paudie O’Brien won Harty Cup medals with different schools, Seán with St. Colmans in 1977 and Paudie with Midleton CBS 1988. Paudie’s son Cormac won a Harty medal with Midleton in 2019.
- 3 O’Neill brothers played on the Cork minor football team in the 1980’s Colm 1981&82, Vincent 1984 & Niall 1986
- 4 Quirke brothers played inter county Minor Hurling championship with Cork, Coleman 1986/87, David 1988, Muiris 1990 (Joint Capt) & Cormac 1991
- Midleton won 3 Cork County senior hurling league titles in 1985. The 1982/83/85 finals were all played in 1985 with Midleton winning all three within the space of a few weeks towards the end of 1985.
- Christy Duggan St. Mary’s Road Midleton refereed 3 County finals in the one year in 1944, being the only referee to do so. The finals were as follows; Senior (Glen Rovers beat Carrigdhoun), Junior (31st Army Battalion defeated Cloyne) and Minor (Youghal beat St. Finbarrs). Christy played and Captained the Cork minor team in 1928 that won Cork’s first All Ireland minor title (Larry Horgan captained the team that beat Dublin in the All Ireland minor final replay which was played in The Mardyke Cork). He was also the football Secretary in Midleton GAA club in 1939 and was nominated as Vice President of the club in 1984. Christy was born in 1909 and died on the 6th June 1987. His son Michael was a prominent footballer with the club in the 1960/70’s.
- What’s in a name; Jim Power captained Midleton to the All Ireland senior football championship in 1890 while his namesake Ger Power captained Midleton All Ireland club hurling title on the 17th March 1988.
